CONTEMPLATION - A Limited Edition Print
“CONTEMPLATION” is a limited edition print of an image that i took one evening at a marina in a town called Sunndalsora, Norway. Shadowed by an aluminium manufacturing plant, this somewhat industrial town had its own beauty.
The day had been pretty wet throughout and then just as evening came (and i use the term evening loosely because the sun wasn’t setting until after 11pm) the wind died, the rain stopped and it was as thought the whole place breathed a sigh of relief.
This simple little boat sat in such a grand backdrop of snow capped mountains and in it’s still waters appeard humble and contemplative, as though any minute it might speak some profound wisdom that should’ve been so obvious all along.
It might seem quite mad but i like taking these photographs because they take me back to these moments and the runaway train on which my thoughts had escaped. I hope that in sharing them, it brings the image to life in the way it presented itself to me.
