SECEDA STORM is a limited edition print of a lightning storm we witnessed on the hike down from the Seceda ridge in the Dolomites.
I’ve been longing to shoot a lighning storm for years. In the UK we don’t get too many storms and when we do, they’re not always where i can get to them or available to travel.
This day had already been pretty epic on the hike up to the Seceda ridge and the sunset that we were lucky enough to witness.
The show on the way down though, was something else. Hiking alone in the dark, just the two of us, and a theatre of light and sound all around us. The acoustics of the mountains seemed to echo the rumbles on forever and the flashes would light up peaks that just a second before, had been cloaked in darkness.
It was one of my life’s most memorable moments.
